Wealthy Washington, D.C. corporate attorney and seasoned Dominant, Carson Drake is the master of the romantic pre-emptive strike. One weekend is all he needs or wants, and every relationship is over before it begins. But London Chantelle, his company’s public relations “princess,” intrigues and provokes the protective alpha male in him. Outside the office, their unexpected meeting at a local BDSM club presents the opportunity to do what he’s always wanted—earn her submission. He proposes a unique weekend of sensual pleasure. Though damaged from her history and mistrustful of men, London agrees to forty-eight hours with Carson, anticipating she could finally put her unwanted, darker longings to rest. The passionate weekend proves beyond what either expected and they quickly discover how perfect they could be together. But London’s long-buried secrets and a blackmailing co-worker interrupt their weekend of romantic exploration. Carson calls on the powerful and secret Tribunal organization for support. But soon the greatest threat to Carson and London’s relationship is revealed—their own assumptions about love. Book Trailer Seven Burning Questions about "Untouchable" by Elizabeth SaFleur’s latest in the Elite Doms of Washington series 1. Untouchable’s hero Carson Drake first makes an appearance in the first Elite Doms book, Lovely. He seems much more honorable in Untouchable than I recall in Lovely. Is that right? Carson has always been a decent and honorable Dom and friend. When he “befriends” Yvette in Lovely, he hadn’t realized the depth of her depression around her divorce. No one had. As a former beauty queen and socialite, Yvette “smiles over” her true feelings and isn’t always honest. He felt terrible about what happened between them. In fact, he still does, though Yvette and Carson have since patched things up. 2. What is "London List"? As Carson gets to know our heroine, London Chantelle, he discovers London-at-the-office is quite different from London-in-real-life. As an attorney, Carson abhors mystery. So he starts a mental list of her characteristics. It’s in his nature to figure things out, and London proves to be quite enigmatic at the start of Untouchable. Here’s a clue as to what’s on London’s List: She hates being cold. Carson makes sure to heat her up. <wink> 3. Carson and London’s brother, Benny, didn't like Pottery Barn, is that a personal thing coming out in the book?Personally, I love Pottery Barn. However, Carson and Benny are a tad snobbish when it comes to home design. They prefer non-mass-marketed possessions. Benny, London’s brother, had always wanted to be an architect. He is attuned to details such as proportion, lines and shapes of furniture. Carson also has particular, yet impeccable, taste in interior design, which London discovers when she visits his home. Me? I need furniture that can withstand puppy scratches and dog hair. 4. You introduce The Tribunal, a powerful and secret organization, in Untouchable. Will we hear more about the Tribunal in future books?Oh, yes. The Tribunal, formed by Alexander Rockingham in 1986, is an important organization throughout the entire Elite Doms series. With each book, you’ll learn a little bit more about how it was formed and why, and hopefully be a little surprised by its influence and reach into certain, ahem, circles. Also, the reason Alexander started the Tribunal is tied to something dark that happened to him in his past. 5. London’s mother is mentioned quite a bit in Untouchable. Will we ever meet her?Who would want to? LOL You never know. When her mother gets tired of her current husband, she might come to Washington. But I doubt Carson would embrace her with open arms! 6.Several new characters make an appearance in Untouchable, such as Alexander Rockingham and Derek Damon Wright. Do we hear more about them later in the series?Alexander and Derek’s stories are coming soon. You know those bossy Doms. They all want their own books. I am here merely to take dictation. Alexander’s story is complex and dark. Derek, on the other hand, had a privileged upbringing, albeit in an unloving family. Derek’s story might take some people by surprise—and I’m not telling yet. 7.We know a sequel to Jonathan and Christian’s story, Lovely, is in the works. What about Carson and London. Will there be an Untouchable 2?I don’t know. When London’s mother shows up do you want to read what happens? I might leave that decision up to the readers. Elizabeth SaFleur is an erotic romance author and dying-to-retire public relations practitioner who writes, tweets and posts under a pseudonym since her business clients might be (would be) shocked at her second career choice. She wrote the Elite Doms of Washington, a contemporary erotic romance series, somewhat inspired by her thirty-year career serving D.C. clients, though her work life didn’t include the smexines or BDSM she features. Today Elizabeth shares twenty-eight, wildlife-filled acres in Central Virginia with her husband and dog, and is sometimes separated from her laptop to indulge in dance classes and local wineries. Elizabeth is a member of the Romance Writers Association and avid reader of all fiction genres. www.ElizabethSaFleur.com The Third season of A vampire mystery thriller is here!!!! Author Rachel De Lune has put her pen, time and talents towards Cancer Research... A while back she was invited to write for a project that included 28 authors. "Framed" is a book put together by Protect Your Breasts in order to raise money for Cancer Research, but rather than put the book on sale, it’s being given as a thank you gift for donations made through their Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/PYB-Cancer All the tales in this anthology are inspired by the above picture Framed is a collection of twenty eight stories, one thousand words in length, each written by one of twenty eight writers, collectively known as the #PYB Wordy Warriors. Every story is different, every writer’s way with words unique, but they stand united for the cause. Fear, love, pain and freedom; you’ll find it all in this book, on a heart-breaking and uplifting journey through beautiful prose. The team of Wordy Warriors and the team at #PYB want to say a huge thank you for all your support and we hope you enjoy this collection. In a world of music, text and still images I wanted to do something different, however I don't have resources to do a Twentieth Century Fox trailer, but set out to make something really cool! I failed. But, Elizabeth SaFleur did not! She gave me video and text much like other trailers I'd seen in the Book Trailer grave yard and for a while we used it. Then I thought -- I'm so sick of text. Along came fiverr.com who slapped me upside the head and knock an idea into me. Woah, wait -- voice over? Yeah!! I don't want to read the text, I want someone say it like in a movie trailer. I have to say we got a pretty sexy voice for Jonathan Brond. We used the same guy for a Snow Blood excerpt we did and it just worked! Now I'm super proud of what Elizabeth and I put together, but it didn't come as low budget as I wanted. We had some missteps, I put a lot of it together but Elizabeth found the video and now, without further adieu... the "Lovely" book trailer... Tell me what you think. We worked hard on this and though it's something I haven't seen too much of, it's also not something way high budget. At least not like the low end $1,500 trailers I've seen professional companies make. For me, this trailer beats text and still images but I know there's room for improvement.
Soon I'll be making more book trailers like this one and I know after a few under my belt I'll be looking for bigger and better. But I say, lets step up our book trailers! We don't have to have text and still images. Get creative! Look around and see what's out there that fits your book. Just like when you want to impress a date with a rose, it's the same is swooning a reader with your book trailer. Go out there and impress your date/reader (whatever). I look forward to new ideas and creations by some of the most talented people I know--you! To all those that push me beyond, thank you. |
