 Simply "Sexcellent"! I've been dabbling more and more in this particular genre as of late, and SaFleur has successfully drawn me in even deeper. I think Carson and London may be the most intriguing BDSM partners that I've had the pain/pleasure of reading, but their exploits go so far beyond the basic, somewhat hackneyed plots of other erotica and Dom novels that I've read in the recent past. They are real people, packed with insecurities, despite their apparent strength and confidence. It was nice to see the layers peeled back as the book progressed, and while the sub-plots, such as the blackmailer, added a certain element of intrigue, I think the story could have been carried completely with their own exploration of intimacy, romance, sex, and, eventually....love. I didn't expect some sort of happy ending, as the tone of the book was dark and pensive, and I didn't want the author to cheapen her good work by copping out with a "they lived happily ever after" ending. Without giving away too much, the close of the novel will leave you hungry for the next one, and wildly satisfied that you made your way through. An excellent read from start to finish. ~ John J.
